Over The Rhine – The Long Surrender

List of things that have changed my life this week:
1. Trying my brother’s McGangbang
2. Seeing the Justin Bieber movie “Never Say Never
3. The Long Surrender…

I don’t know how many of you are Over The Rhine fans already and will love this post, and how many of you are just now hearing of them and will REALLY love this post.

This husband and wife power duo have been around for quite a while… 1988 to be precise. So it only makes sense that they’re very talented musicians and have had ample amounts of time to develop their own style.

This album ranges from moody, soulful tracks like Rave On to Iron & Wine-esque songs such as Only God Can Save Us now that portray scenes of family life and taking life as it comes. My personal favorites are Laugh Of Recognition, Oh Yeah By The Way, and Rave On but that doesn’t mean the rest aren’t fabulous as well.

I recommend this for you if you like The Weepies, Iron & Wine, or The Cardigans.

Hey, I noticed that you recommended Mumford and Sons. I wanted to recommend a band to you! They’re called Stornoway, they’re from Oxford in South East England. They are amazing!
